Did you know that vaccines:

• Safely and effectively prevent diseases like shingles, pneumonia, influenza, hepatitis and human papilloma virus (HPV).

• Boost the body’s natural defense system to more effectively fight disease and prevent certain cancers.

• Help protect both you and your loved ones.

Dr. Marc Wallace, our Public Health and Preventive Medicine Specialist, can review your immunization and medical status to provide a specific vaccine recommendation for you. This service is available to all patients of Academy Skin Centre upon request. To schedule your appointment for this review please call 204-957-0141 ext. 2. These appointments are covered by active provincial health coverage, however some specific vaccines are not and must be purchased.

If you are interested in this service and are not currently a patient at Academy Skin Centre, please ask a primary care provider such as your family physician for a referral.

PLEASE NOTE: This service is not for travel vaccines or malaria prophylaxis. If you are considering travel outside the country we encourage you to contact WRHA Travel Health and Tropical Medicine Services at 204-940-8747 or visit https://wrha.mb.ca/travel-health/about-our-clinic/ for more details on travel specific vaccines.
